The Tennis Queensland Return to Play Roadmap has been updated to reflect the government’s changes and outline the steps your facility must take to safely ease restrictions. While our state is fortunate to be moving to stage 3, now more than ever it is essential that you continue to apply the conditions as set out in the approved COVID Safe Industry Plan for Outdoor Sport .

Industry COVID Safe Plans played an integral role in order for tennis to resume under Stage 2 easing of restrictions. Under Stage 3, these Plans continue to be critical, alongside the Tennis Queensland Return to Play Roadmap. As detailed in the principles below, where an Industry COVID Safe Plan exists for an activity, it must be followed in order for that activity to be conducted.
The Queensland Government has released the Industry COVID Safe Plan for Outdoor Sports which allows community sport, including tennis, to increase participation numbers. The Tennis Queensland Return to Play Roadmap has been updated to reflect the allowance for outdoor sport. In order to increase the number of players at a tennis venue, clubs must complete two checklists.
The recommencement of fixtures is part of the staged reopening of tennis activities following the shutdown of the Centre on 25/3/2020 due to COVID-19. As such, the recommencement must follow Tennis Queensland’s Return To Play Roadmap (Stage 3), which allows for gatherings of up to 100 people and not more than 1 person per 4 square metres.
October 26, 2020. Swim England has created a five-point roadmap outlining a ‘safe and effective’ route to returning to swimming competitions. The recognised national governing body has confirmed it is currently at stage three of the pathway following the launch of Level X Racing. Dates for advancing to stages four and five have yet to be confirmed but the next steps have been detailed to ensure clubs are ready for a return to competition as swiftly as the situation allows.
What Happens Next With Return To Play? England Hockey were delighted to see the roadmap set out this week for the return of outdoor team sports from Monday 29 March onwards. As schools and colleges return to the classroom from Monday 8 March, we understand that sport in educational settings will be permitted, with full guidance to be confirmed.
